Senior System Infrastructure – Point X

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior System Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at Point X. In this role, you will ensure the stability, integrity, and optimal performance of the systems and cloud services that support our core organizational functions. Your expertise will be pivotal in designing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure solutions that drive business success. With a focus on cloud environments, you will leverage your skills to monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot complex systems, collaborating closely with software engineers to deliver seamless, reliable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Network and Cloud Architecture: Design and implement robust network architectures and cloud services, with a focus on AWS and Azure platforms.
  • Infrastructure Optimization: Implement infrastructure changes aimed at enhancing system performance and scalability.
  • System Management: Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, cloud services, and system management tools to ensure efficient operations.
  • Technical Support: Provide advanced technical support, troubleshooting network and platform performance issues to ensure smooth operations aligned with business objectives.
  • Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor and test application performance, identifying potential bottlenecks and collaborating with software engineers to implement effective solutions.
  • Collaborative Problem-Solving: Work closely with software engineers to ensure the reliable operation of both software and systems, coordinating on design and integration of new solutions.
  • Solution Design: Coordinate with cross-functional teams to design solutions that meet functional requirements and integrate seamlessly with existing systems.

Qualifications:

  • Cloud Architecture Expertise: Strong knowledge of cloud architecture design and services, including Kubernetes, Docker, MongoDB, Redis, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Elasticsearch, and the ELK Stack.
  • Security Proficiency: Proficient in security tools and practices, including Software Composition Analysis (SCA), Container & Serverless Security, and Static Application Security Testing (SAST) tools for code security and analysis.
  • Growth Mindset: Demonstrated willingness to continuously learn new technologies and share knowledge with peers.
  • CI/CD Familiarity: Experience with software deployment technologies, particularly Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to identify, communicate, and resolve issues to maximize system performance and reliability.
