Do you believe that sometimes the biggest turning point in a career can be hidden within a period of just a few short months?
For me, that moment happened here… as an Intern at SCBX.
From Stranger… to Crew Member
Looking back, before stepping in as a Risk Management Analyst Intern, I carried a huge load of anxiety with me. Especially knowing I was the “First-Ever Intern” here, my feelings were a chaotic mix of pride, excitement, and worry.
In my imagination, financial institutions were synonymous with seriousness and silent meeting rooms. But when the doors of this Mothership (SCBX) opened, what awaited me was a surprise.
The walls of my old beliefs crumbled under a modern and flexible work culture. Cubicle walls vanished, leaving only open spaces connecting everyone… The second I saw seniors working side-by-side with interns, exchanging ideas like teammates, I knew instantly: Here, we aren’t seen as outsiders, but as “Crew Members” driving this ship forward together.
Not Just Learning, But Leaving a Mark of Success
When you are viewed as a crew member, the work assigned isn’t just a drill. Many might think an intern’s role is to observe quietly… but that definition does not apply at SCBX.
Recently, I was given the opportunity to be part of key Group Level projects, working with various subsidiaries. It was a challenging time involving deep-diving into business processes, identifying risks, and presenting that data in actual meetings.
These experiences taught me that our work doesn’t end day-to-day; it is about laying a foundation. Knowing that what I implemented today will continue to circulate and create value for the organization in the future gives me a deep sense of pride. I know that the ‘mark’ of my work will continue to function, even after I have stepped out of these doors.

Lessons Beyond Textbooks… and the Taste of Happiness Seasoned with Friendship
Driving Mothership certainly requires energy. And since “People” are the core, the best way to heal a worker’s heart is undoubtedly an atmosphere of “Happiness.”
The stereotype of working in a big company sitting stiffly in front of screens was erased here. Beyond the serious work mode, an atmosphere of fun is palpable every day. It starts with our well-being, our essential fuel, whether it’s the aroma of fresh coffee in the morning or the snack corner in the Pantry that heals the soul in the afternoon.
Moving from the snack corner to memories at the dining table… Lunch breaks or team gatherings turned into “ordinary moments that felt extraordinary.” As professional roles were temporarily set aside, leaving only casual conversations and laughter, any tension faded into warmth… making it feel like being with siblings who truly care.
And it wasn’t just with the seniors; this space also connected us Interns. Through group-wide activities, exchanging experiences with peers felt like finding “schoolmates.” It proved that interning here provides not just knowledge, but the gift of “friendship.”
Ultimately, the most precious thing amidst the fun is the bond between Mentors and the team. They weren’t just bosses, but the “Wind Beneath My Wings,” steadying me when I couldn’t yet fly smoothly, and propelling me forward when I was ready to soar.
The friendship formed here doesn’t end when work hours do; it is a lasting bond that will continue to push us to grow together, no matter what path we take.
To the Future Xterns… Don’t Be Afraid to Start
If you are hesitating whether to apply, or wondering if you are good enough… I won’t try to convince you by saying “the profile looks good” or “the benefits are great” (even though they are).
But I want you to know that SCBX is looking for people with “Heart”, the willingness to learn and the courage to act. Here, you won’t just be an intern; you will be part of the force propelling this Mothership into the future.
Come join us. Let’s build something meaningful and leave your mark of success here… just like I did.
