Bangkok, June 23, 2025 – SCBX Group has announced the appointment of Dr. Arak Sutivong as the next Chief Executive Officer of SCB X Public Company Limited, effective January 1, 2027. He will succeed Mr. Arthid Nanthawithaya, whose term concludes on December 31, 2026, ensuring a smooth and seamless leadership transition.
Mr. Arthid Nanthawithaya, current Chief Executive Officer of SCB X Public Company Limited (SCBX), stated “After establishing a solid foundation for SCBX Group, the next 18 months will be a critical period of preparation for leadership succession. This transition marks the beginning of a new chapter focused on sustainable growth and long-term success. The Board of Directors recognizes the importance of selecting the right leader to carry forward this mission. Following a thorough selection process, the Board is confident that Dr. Arak possesses the vision, experience, and innovative mindset necessary to lead SCBX Group into the future.”

Dr. Arak currently serves as Deputy Chief Executive Officer of SCB X Public Company Limited (SCBX) and Chief Executive Officer of SCB DataX Company Limited (DataX), where he plays a pivotal role in shaping the Group’s strategic direction and driving organizational transformation. He oversees innovation and technology initiatives, with a particular focus on data, artificial intelligence (AI), and digital assets, to enhance the Group’s technological capabilities and long-term competitiveness.
With over 15 years of experience and deep expertise in banking and SCBX’s diversified businesses, Dr. Arak has held several key leadership positions within the Group. These include President, Chief Financial Officer, and Chief Strategy Officer of Siam Commercial Bank (SCB). He was instrumental in the founding and served as Chief Executive Officer of SCB 10X Company Limited (SCB 10X), the Group’s innovation and venture capital arm focused on technology-driven investments. He later served as Chief Executive Officer of InnovestX Securities Company Limited (InnovestX), where he led the strategic transformation of traditional investment models into future-oriented platforms.
Beyond his roles within the Group, Dr. Arak has also contributed to Thailand’s financial infrastructure as a board member of key national institutions, including the Thai Bankers’ Association (TBA) and ITMX.
Dr. Arak holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, California, and both Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, Pennsylvania, United States.
