Blending Diverse Methods for Sustainable Learning

At SCBX, we believe that effective learning stems from a combination of hands-on experience, peer exchange, and guidance from experienced individuals at all levels. Therefore, our learning and development initiatives are clearly designed around these principles:

  1. Education (Structured-Learning):
    This involves learning through workshops, classroom sessions, and e-learning. Our focus is on maximizing learning efficiency while accommodating practical constraints. For instance, various e-learning programs are designed to be concise and easy to understand, delivered via short video clips broken into bite-sized topics, minimizing disruption to daily tasks and allowing for flexible learning anytime, anywhere.
  2. Exposure (Coaching/Feedback/Learning from Others):
    This approach emphasizes learning through coaching from external experts and experienced internal leaders. The aim is to exchange knowledge and ideas, stimulate further learning, and foster learning networks and communities by grouping individuals with common interests to share experiences and promote cross-functional collaboration. Furthermore, SCBX stresses the importance of effective and continuous feedback from managers to employees, both for improving performance and facilitating career progression.
  3. Experiences (Learning by Doing/Special Assignment):
    We encourage employees to gain direct experience and learn by actively engaging in tasks and applying skills learned in structured settings to achieve tangible results. Additionally, high-potential employees are given special assignments to provide opportunities for further learning in areas of interest or to develop new skills for career growth. An example of this is participation in various AI Projects within the organization, which allows employees from all functions who are interested in optimizing their work processes using AI tools to propose ideas and implement them in their own departments, supported by company funding and learning resources.

01 AI Literacy Journey:
Building Foundational Knowledge and Advancing Towards an AI-First Organization

This program is a key pillar of our “AI-First Organization” strategy, aiming to ensure that all SCBX Group employees understand, keep pace with, and can effectively use AI tools. The program is divided into three intensity levels, designed to align with varying depths of knowledge and employee roles:

AI Foundation:

An introductory e-learning course that is mandatory for all employees. It includes basic knowledge assessments through quizzes for each learning topic.

AI Intermediate:

A mid-level learning program for those directly involved in driving and leading AI projects within their respective departments. This curriculum was co-designed with leading global institutions, focusing on translating AI concepts into practical implementation. The learning period spans approximately 8-12 weeks, incorporating classroom sessions, workshops, and e-learning.

AI Advanced:

An intensive program providing high-level technical knowledge for Data Scientists and Data Engineers, covering topics such as Generative AI and Machine Learning.

02 Leadership Xcellence Program (LXP):
Developing People Managers to Become Exemplary Leaders

This program focuses on cultivating leaders within SCBX who can not only manage teams but also act as “coaches” to help their teams grow in alignment with organizational goals including becoming an AI-First organization driven by our people. It comprises six core learning modules:

  • Understanding oneself and the leadership role.
  • Practicing coaching and communication skills.
  • Hands-on practice through active listening and giving feedback.
  • Strategic thinking and vision articulation.
  • Understanding performance management and team dynamics.
  • Learning essential HR practices for managers.

The 70:20:10 learning methodology allows participants to apply knowledge in real-world scenarios, such as communicating team direction, giving and receiving feedback, and implementing strategies in daily work, with continuous coaching. Evaluations have shown a significant increase in participants’ confidence and leadership potential, leading to more effective team management across various business lines.

03 Self-Learning Platform:
Elevating Learning with Over 800 Topics on a Digital Platform

To promote continuous learning and foster a culture of ongoing self-development within SCBX, the company provides all employees with unlimited access to knowledge resources through an online learning platform. Accessible on both computers and mobile devices, it hosts over 800 high-quality courses covering a wide range of essential topics relevant to the digital age and future skills, including:

Furthermore, providing access to diverse knowledge through the Online Self-Learning Platform has boosted employee capabilities and cultivated a “culture of lifelong learning” that will be a vital force in driving the organization forward sustainably.
